ARIM ANDREW
Art exhibit @ Art X 2019

It's a work full of meanings, let's interrogate this works.

Seeing things differently

Arim Andrew is a realist painter from Uganda. My contact with his work today left me with divergent thoughts.

Arim Andrew earned his degree in social science, graduated from Kyambogo University in Uganda in 2015,but had always been drawn to art on account of his elder brother an animator and illustrator.

Andrew's practice began with hyper-realism portraits that justaposed his sitters with comic subjects,an early sign of his desire to aim beyond beauty.

He has a liberated imagination which is the beginning of his interrogation of political and social power.

ArtX west Africa's premier international art fair

My experience at the art x fair was so engaging.
I met this artist Nike Davis daughter who look like a manique at my first sight before I noticed her movements.
